During this episode, we sit down with Dorothy Doughty, MN, RN, CWOCN, CFCN, FAAN, to discuss the ostomy nurse’s role in offering patients counseling for sexual function after ostomy surgery, helping patients maintain intimacy, and addressing common sex and intimacy concerns for heterosexual and LGBTQ+ patients.

About the Speaker:
Dorothy Doughty has been a wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) nurse since 1980 and has worked primarily in the acute care setting. She was Director of the Emory University WOC Nursing Education Program for 30 years and is currently working as a WOC nursing instructor. She is past President of the WOCN® Society and has multiple presentations and publications in the field of WOC nursing.
