WOC NURSE IN WASHINGTON

The WOC Nurse in Washington program is a two-day public policy and advocacy skill-building workshop held in Washington, DC. The participants attending this workshop will learn to effectively communicate the WOCN® Society agenda items identified by the Board and NPPC to members of the House and Senate (coordinated and scheduled by legislative consultants). The first day of the skill building workshop covers the basics of how Washington functions and how to deliver the “WOCN® Society message”. This is done in preparation for the second day of the workshop, which consists of visits to selected members of the House and Senate (coordinated and scheduled by legislative consultants).

WOCN will provide two night’s hotel, food & beverage, and an educational session and materials. The participant will be responsible for his or her own transportation to and from the hotel in Washington, DC.
