The Mideast Chapter acknowledges its members in many ways including scholarships and awards. The following is a list of available scholarships including a brief explanation of each. For full details and to apply, please click below.
MIDEAST CHAPTER OF WOCN ADVANCED PRACTICE SCHOLARSHIP
The Mideast Chapter WOC Advanced Practice Scholarship Award is an avenue for financial assistance to MEC members currently enrolled in advanced nursing programs. This includes those enrolled in baccalaureate programs with a major in nursing as well as those in graduate or doctoral programs. Preference will be given to applicants who have not received a monetary award from the MEC in the last 3 years. Award Amount: $1,000 (2 awards, $1,000 ea.)

JEFF BISH WOCN SCHOLARSHIP
“Jeff Bish, Midwest Regional Sales Manager for EHOB, Inc. has exemplified all that is wonderful about supporting the WOC Nurses and their mission. The Jeff Bish WOCNEP Scholarship will be awarded to a WOC nurse employed in an acute care setting.
Award Amount: $500

MIDEAST CHAPTER OF WOCN RESEARCH GRANT
The Mideast Research Grant encourages WOC nurses and nurses specializing in wound, ostomy, and continence and foot care to contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge through research. Preference will be given to applicants who have not received a monetary award from the MEC in the last 3 years.
Award Amount: $1,000

MIDEAST CHAPTER OF WOCN MEMORIAL WOCNEP SCHOLARSHIP
The Mideast Chapter of the WOCN Society is pleased to offer a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education Program Scholarship to honor or remember MEC members who are/were committed to providing wound, ostomy, continence and foot care to their patients. The scholarship is an avenue for financial assistance to MEC members currently enrolled in an approved WOCNEP that go on to achieve certification through the WOCNCB®. Preference will be given to applicants who have not received a monetary award from the MEC in the last 3 years.
Award Amount: $1,000
