On this bonus episode of WOCTalk, Collin Jarvis, an ostomy advocate, and Tammy Lichtman, an ostomy nurse, share how starting patients with convexity products before they leave the hospital can prevent leakage and set them up for success. Traditionally, flat barriers are used post-op, with convexity only considered after leakage occurs. Collin and Tammy discuss how early use of convexity can help avoid issues that often lead to discomfort and setbacks at home.
