Andrea, a new WOC nurse and a new mother, leads a busy life. The Barbara Braden Future is Bright Award recognizes a new WOC nurse within the first 5 years of practice who is tri-specialty certified and destined to make a significant contribution to WOC care and exemplifies the scope of WOC nursing practice as defined in “WOC Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition” (clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, administrator).
